About Us

Owners' picture Ronald Whiteurst, principal of Magic Mind, began his career as a documentation specialist in 1977 while serving in the U.S. Air Force as a Computer Systems Repairman. Under contract to a local technical documentation company, he used his electronics and computer background to create maintenance documentation for a piece of camera gear that went up on every NASA space shuttle mission.

Upon completion of his military service in 1979, Ronald worked with General Dynamics to draft and update several military aircraft operation and maintenance manuals. In 1983, Ronald formed Magic Mind, a company based in Fort Worth, Texas whose original mission was to take the worries out of personal computer ownership through service offerings of hardware and software training. In 1989, Magic Mind changed its philosophy and narrowed its focus to technical writing, specifically the development of text, printed or electronic, for any industry, product, or process.

Ronald, either for Magic Mind or under contract to other agencies, has developed equipment manuals, training materials, ISO documentation, policy and procedure documentation, software documentation, requests for proposals, and other business-related text for the following:
